A really run down, neglected property by the owners, e.g., TV didn't work, wifi slow, security front entrance door didn't always work and therefore sometimes difficult to leave the premises, railing up the staircase after entrance door comes off the wall mounting (safety hazard), door to rooms at the top of the staircase faulty (security key pad broken, door itself covered in adhesive tape, door knob on the inside almost falling off), entrance door to the bedroom itself an issue (we were told we were being given the only key, and if we want a room cleaning service we need to leave the door open after leaving the room), wardrobe inside the bedroom and sliding doors to the shower in the bathroom coming off the hinges etc etc. I really felt sorry for the staff charged with running this place, who were trying their best to do their job. A lousy breakfast on day one (stale croissants and poor coffee, so we didn't bother day two and three).
Also, as an afterthought about the immediate vicinity (nothing to do with the property itself which is up a quiet nearby alleyway), being so close to Trevi fountain was not such a great idea because of the huge crowds...much better to pay a brief visit to Trevi from further afield!
