The Village Lodge is located in an excellent area, making it very convenient to explore all the famous lakes and attractions around Mammoth. The resort itself is beautiful, spacious, and offers a relaxing atmosphere. The warm outdoor pool and open-air hot jacuzzi were especially enjoyable after a long day of sightseeing. However, our stay also had a few drawbacks. The room had an unpleasant old/foul smell, and several of the electrical appliances and fixtures felt outdated. The bedroom fans were old, did not function properly, had broken pull chains, and there were no remotes available to control the fan speed. The oven was also not functioning properly, and there was no central air conditioning — only an AC unit in the living room, which made the bedrooms less comfortable.
