This is a very nice property! It’s quaint in an old world kind of way, with modern conveniences. It’s right in the middle of the walled city, which has it’s advantages and disadvantages. It’s close to shopping and dining but getting to this property is difficult to say the least. Being inside the walled city means no vehicles can get close. So if you’re travelling with luggage it can be an uphill, steep, and rugged climb to reach the Casa. Plus, the check-in is a distance away from the Casa so you first have to find that place, then the Casa itself, all the while hauling your luggage. The best advice that could have been given (but wasn’t) is to park your vehicle in the main car park, or have the taxi (not Uber) drop you off at the bus stop close to the main car park at the south end of the walled city. From there it is still a ways, but an easy climb into the walled city. If you are a couple, have one person stay with the bags at the ATM on the main street (Rua Diretia approx #90) while the other person goes on to the Castle check-in point. From this location it’s a short climb one street up to the Casa Lidador. Once you’re in, it’s a fantastic location and beautiful property.
