NEVER AGAIN
I can honestly say this was the worst booking experience I have ever had. We booked a King Suite approximately four months in advance and paid in full. After a six-hour flight, we arrived at midnight only to be told the hotel was sold out and had no available rooms. Naturally, we were furious, having pre-paid for our room months in advance. We were informed that since we booked through a third party that THEY overbooked the hotel, we were bumped by guest that arrived earlier and there was nothing they could do. Since we were there for the Nascar race, we were told there would most likely be no other hotels available. I immediately contacted Hotel.com, and they reached out to the hotel while I was sitting in the lobby. The hotel repeated the same story about being overbooked. After about 15 minutes and several calls with Hotels.com, they managed to find a room for us by bumping the next guest who had not yet arrived. We were given a standard room, which was so disgusting that I would have preferred sleeping in our rental car. Please see the attached photos showing mold inside the refrigerator, mold around the base of the toilet, and filthy conditions on the walls and in the corners. Holiday Inn Express, you should be ashamed of the condition of this room.
