Bad customer service/booking issue
My business trip on Monday (6/10_25) ended late. I booked through hotels.com as I have several hundred times or more in the past decade. I arrived at the residence Inn Marriott, located in Columbia, SC after working a 16hr day at approximately 11:00 p.m. I expected a quick, smooth check-in as I was totally exhausted. That didn't happen. For the first time ever, I was informed the hotel received my booking ( paid by me through the hotels.com app) but they didn't have my credit card info. This was confusing to me as I use this service often and are a gold member. I waited approximately an hour and received very little technical support form Hotels.com/Expedia.com. support came only through a virual chat. I could not get anyone in customer service to contact me. After a very long wait someone called the hotel and there was no resolution. I got a refund but was told they would not compensate my lost time. I eventually paid the hotel directly after an hour wait. I asked hotels.com/Expedia.com to be contacted by a manager but that didn't happen. I use this booking service so much and no compensation was offered. Im very surprised and disappointed. If the problem is on the Marriott (residential Inn)
