The worst hotel ever / Peior hotel na minha vida
It was a horrible experience since the beginning. The hotel street is dangerous, filled up with homeless people and drug-addicted and dealers: the feeling outside the hotel door is terrifying. I got there at night, I was given a room in the fourth floor, when I turned out the light and went in, I had the horrifying view of several cockroaches on the floor moving rapidly under the bed. I was disgusted and asked for a room change. They gave me another room, but the receptionist not only was not apologetic, but she made also a remark later that night that they "checked" the room and didn't see the cockroaches. Ridiculous! Nevertheless, I stayed in the hotel for the 2 nights I was reserved. The rooms and the whole building are quite ran down, more similar to 1 star than a 3 star hotel. To make things worse, during my stay, there were constructions "inside" the hotel, with workers hammering all day long: the noise made it unbearable to stay in the room (this regardless of the floor, because the hotel has all rooms facing the hallway). The breakfast was of scarce quality, but this was not a major concern for me. On top of all these disgusting elements, at check-out I was charged 100 Real more because it was claimed I had a guest upstair for more than 15 min. I was revolted. Do yourself a favor: pay 10-20 $ more and stay elsewhere, or your experience in Sao Paulo is gonna be as traumatic as mine.
