Apaliving was a perfect headquarter for our quick visit to Basel. Cozy and tidy, the hotel is in a quiet area just a 10 minute walk from the train station, but also surrounded by a few useful tram and bus lines that made travelling to and from it a breeze.
The self-check-in machine was easy to use and the lack of a 24h reception didn’t make a difference to our stay. In any case, during the opening hours, there was English speaking staff ready to meet you.
The room was up to standards: comfortable beds, clean and quiet. The radiators warmed it extremely well and the temperature could be set from the knobs, while the wide windows let in a great deal of light during the day and the lights were plentiful for the nighttime. A kettle and a capsule espresso maker along with cups were available for tea and coffee. There were plenty of towels provided for the bathroom, which was small but more than sufficient and comfortable.
No fault could be given to our short stay, it was truly a nice place to return to after long days of exploration in the city.
