I'll start with the positives. The hotel is close to the highway and was easy to find. The room was cheap so we could splurge on a nice dinner. Our room was clean and quiet, other than the trashy argument in the parking lot that woke us up around 1am.
The property is rundown, with remainders that indicate it was once grand. There's a chandelier in the lobby, but no furniture. The front desk appears to be marble but the clerk is behind a plexiglass shield. The whole place smells pervasively of marijuana, like it's in the carpet. The room, fortunately, didn’t reek but it had seen better days. Furniture and drapes were a hodge-podge of styles. There's a bracket on the wall where at one time there was a full size ironing board. Our room had two refrigerators (one not working) but no coffee maker or microwave. One of the outlets was missing its cover. The king size bed held only two standard pillows. We had no toilet paper in the bathroom and were allotted only one bath towel between the two of us. There wasn't even a Bible in the bedside table, so it looks like the Gideons took a pass on this place. I'd trust their judgment and spend the extra money on a decent room somewhere else.
