An overall good experience. Checking in was easy and fast. The property is pretty with orange and lemon trees everywhere.
A bit of a walk for us to our room so if you have health challenges you may want to request something close to the lobby before you check in.
Dinner at the Italian restaurant was just ok, but breakfast was fantastic and had a lot of good options.
We also liked our room and the staff was very friendly.

Mixed feeling about this property. It is a wonderful property but the has very impersonal touch.
The gentleman who waited on us at the italian restaurant was wonderful.
The bartender at bar was polite and courteous.
But everyone seemed to be distracted.

It’s a lovely property very grand with two restaurants. But from my experience, the food is subpar.

The staff was Moroccan personable, the room was clean and comfortable. All in all, a good, upscale place to stay. Didn't eat there because dining was considerably overpriced.

My companion & l stated for 4 nights at the Berbere Palace hotel. We were looking for a relaxing break & the hotel delivered just that. The room was clean & pleasant. Featuring all 5* amenities expected. Slippers, bathrobes, luxury toiletries. There was a coffee machine but we did not use it. The hotel was used mainly by Moroccan tour takers, many American & Japanese people. A lovely mix of nationalities weee present.
Breakfast was amazing, during the day the pool was just about empty of guests so we took advantage of this & sunbathed most of the day.
Drinks were pretty expensive, but this is often the case in Morocco. Staff were very nice, helpful & polite. The lady on reception ran our boarding cards when it was time to leave & translated the airline website-Thank you.
It was a truly relaxing break in a beautiful place.
I so want to return. Thank you Berbere Palace. Sjx

Great hotel with amazing staff and facilities. Peacefull oasis to recharge. We only ate on premise 1 time at lunch and food was average and overpriced. On day 3 we asked for in-room coffee pods to find out it was only included for the first night (of a 4 day stay). Based on price of hotel room, we found this is a bit cheap for a luxury hotel (at $3US per… for Nepresso)… little details amenitities are nice, but coffee is a simple miss. Pool service was amazing… Hotel has a lot of bus tours staying but it doesn’t impact the tranquility of our stay…

The rooms are good but their service is poor. Charging $700 per night, they don't even replenish the items in the room on daily basis - coffe pods, shampoo, other basic things. Reception staff does not speak or understand English which was very difficult to us to communicate

Not that impressed
This hotel is a bit overrated in my opinion. Pool area is ok-ish, found glass on the floor, and many bird droppings around the pool (this was a bit disgusting as it was then mixing with the pool water). Standard rooms are super small. Deluxe rooms much better. Breakfast was too expensive (35€/person). There is not much parking spots and cars have to stay outside (but it feels quite safe). Hotel store remained closed during the 2 days we were there, and access to the spa is limited. Service could be better for a 5-star hotel. Food at the pool was good (albeit with European prices). Ouarzazate in general is not that great, but it is super clean for a city in Morocco.

We stayed in the hotel room 209 for 3 days. It seems like this hotel is use for one night stay by tourist/visitors visiting the area by buses and move on to another are next day. We tried to purchase USD from the Reception, but it was too difficult because the staff member could not say the exact conversion rate. Day 2 and day 3, towels in our bathroom were not replaced even though it was on the bathroom floor. Last day, towels were on the rail were dirty. We noticed that the cleaners weren’t even vacuum cleaned the room floor. We had to report several Health & Safety issues to the reception, but most of the reception staff gave us the feeling that could not understand what we were saying in English... If the hotel need long staying visitors from UK, they may need to consider the way they treat the customers much better than now. There were only one or two staff members could speak English therefore, we had issues on day 2 & 3 of the stay however, the room 209 we stayed was a large room with a beautiful toilet/bathroom. Day 1, reception staff member (Amalal Soufiane) was very kind and pleasant. He was the only person who could speak to us in English that day and it made a big difference when compared to other days. We were so pleased to see him working after that in the reception area. Last day, we managed to speak to the Hotel General Manager and he seems to be very welcoming, kind and understanding therefore, we do sincerely hope he will make the required adjustments...
