Not my best experience
I’m very disappointed with my recent experience booking through Hotels.com. I made a reservation in February 2025 for a week-long stay from late June to early July. I specifically booked an ADA accessible room with two double beds to accommodate myself, my husband, and our 16-year-old son. Upon arrival, the hotel (Quality Inn) informed us that the only ADA accessible room available had a king-size bed, which was not acceptable given our family size—our son is taller than my husband, and there was no way all three of us could share one bed.
As a result, we had to settle for a room with two beds but no accessibility features. This meant I had no way to safely shower, and I had to be creative just to manage basic hygiene, which was exactly what I was trying to avoid by booking early and clearly indicating my needs.
I contacted Hotels.com hoping they could move us to another hotel that actually had the accommodations we paid for, but they were unable to help. For a full week, I had to endure the physical discomfort and limitations of a non-accessible room—struggling with the toilet, shower, and basic mobility.
To make matters worse, the hotel was poorly maintained: the hallways looked dirty, and the elevator had a strong, constant smell of weed.
This was a very unpleasant stay and an incredibly frustrating experience. I expected much better from Hotels.com, especially when it comes to respecting accessibility needs.
