Five stars hotel close to Forbidden City
The position of the hotel is very good being newr Forbidden City and Tienanmen Square. The hotel has a classic style with generally very nice rooms, lobby,etc. Internet connection pretty slow. There is a nice bar on third floor but with limited choice of drinks and food. Breakfast and other meals quite expensive. The really annoying thing was that at check-out we asked to change money at reception (as foreseen by a table with all exchange rates on the counter) but the clerk refused to exchange our Singapore Dollars claiming that the bank supporting the exchange service would not accept Singapore Dollars. However hard to accept that SGD would be refused for exchange it would have still been ok if this problem was clearly mentioned in the exchange rate table and above all, if the clerk of this five star hotel would be willing at least to propose as an alternativ solution to solve our problem, but he was very unpolite
