Nice Hotel- but sleep disturbed by barking dog
I recently stayed at this hotel and was impressed by its well-maintained, remodeled appearance. The property was very clean, and the front desk staff were exceptionally friendly and hospitable.
The continental breakfast was a nice offering but was poorly maintained. Guests frequently had to request restocking of essential items such as coffee, milk, eggs, bacon, and baked goods, which were often depleted. While this was a minor inconvenience, it is worth noting as an area for improvement.
My primary concern, however, was a disruptive experience during my first night. At 4:50 AM, a large dog in a nearby room began barking loudly, scratching at the door, and causing a significant disturbance. I contacted the front desk, and while the attendant assured me they would address the issue, the noise persisted. When I called again, expressing concern that the dog seemed to be attempting to break through the door, the only solution offered was for me to move to another room—at 5 AM. This was not a reasonable resolution.
The following day, I spoke with management, who assured me the dog had been removed and acknowledged that asking me to relocate was not an appropriate response. However, they stated that no refund or compensation could be offered since I had booked through a third-party site (Hotels.com). Given that my stay was disrupted to the point that I did not receive the restful night I paid for, I believe some form of compensation would have been warranted.
