Great Break, Great Location, Great Weather
After I had booked I read a few reviews and while most were positive some had gripes. Sure this is not all stainless steel and glass but it is comfortable (albeit a little dated) accommodation. The $5 breakfast? Well it is a $5 breakfast which my wife and I found perfectly adequate. Maybe a teenage body builder may not but, hey, it's more than we have at home. The location is superb, right on Kings Beach and not at all noisy. Every unit has a great view of the beach and coastline. Parking is fine, beds are comfortable, staff are pleasant and helpful. What more could you want?
Well, just one thing that has become a pet gripe of mine since we were confronted a couple of years ago by (bacon and egg) dishes that had been washed, looked clean but were greasy. Resorts appear to give you two sachets of dishwash liquid to last a week. Most are like us and go out and buy their own for $2 a litre or less. So why just two sachets when you could get three weeks worth for just $2. As far as I am concerned it is a potential health hazard and resorts (including Utiqa) should do better. Otherwise a great break at a great location with great weather.
