Nice hotel, but staff needs training
I reserved a King room at this hotel, and was not sure what to expect considering I usually stay at Hilton hotels. I was pleasantly surprised to find my room very clean, the bed comfortable, and there was both a fridge and microwave in the room. For the price, I was surprised at the quality. (I suppose that is where they get their name-makes sense.) I was in town for business, and had a VERY important meeting Sunday. Now before I continue, let me just state that I understand people want to have fun on the weekends, maybe some of the guests were on vacation. I get that. I had gone to bed at around 9:30pm with no issue. At around 11pm, I was startled awake by the slamming of doors by what sounded like clearly intoxicated people. What made this worse was that at the end of the hall where they were staying, there were 3 or 4 rooms of people that knew one another (must have been a group trip), and they had left their room doors WIDE OPEN and were yelling to one another from their rooms for 3 HOURS. I am a very patient person. I waited a whole hour before calling the front desk. The lady at the front desk answered and very hesitantly said she would go ask them to quiet down. No one came up. NO ONE. I was kept up for another 2 hours with this ridiculous noise. Fast forward to breakfast, and I overhear another couple complaining that they called and nothing was done either! The night staff here either needs backup (the lady stated she was alone on this shift) or additional training.
