"The pool was okay. They don’t have enough staff so it takes 2 hours for room service. A drink at the pool takes an hour and the dinner service is even worse. Also you can’t get food at the pool you have to dry off and change and go to the restaurant. Wouldn’t stay here again. 5 star prices without the 5 star service "

"My wife and I stayed at South Beach Residence for a week. We wanted a quiet place to stay that was away from the touristy areas, which is exactly what we got staying here.
The hotel is close to Ling & Son's grocery store, maybe a 5 minute walk. You'll have to get used to not having sidewalks if you want to walk (we did multiple times without any issue) but it is an adjustment if you're used to more formal sidewalks and crosswalks. Everything about this resort was truly top-notch! From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond — always friendly, attentive, and genuinely happy to help. The entire property was spotless, beautifully maintained, and filled with good vibes all around.
We loved every part of our stay — from relaxing at the stunning Okeanos Spa and our private cabana by the water, to watching the beautiful flamingos up close on the private island. It was pure paradise! Even the casino was a blast (even though we didn’t win this time 😉).
This resort truly captures the spirit of Aruba — the Happy Island! 🏝️
