Fisher's Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Hotel in prime position , floors a little creaky , but to be expected in an old building great choice of food , Bed very comfortable pillows a little hard, staff very helpful , definitely be back."
"The staff were very frienfly and helpful. The bedroom was spacious and very quiet even though we were a shrtwalk from the main dhopping area. Quality of the food was outstanding as was the service. The hotel has a lovely peaceful outside sitting area with lovely views. I can confidenty say that out of the many hotels we have stayed in this is one of the very best."
"This was our first stop in Scotland, and we felt so welcomed and right at home here! The owner asked us about our plans and gave us suggestions for places, even some that offered discounts if we said we were staying there! The property is quaint and comfortable, and the breakfast in the morning was also a special touch (and tasty!). Overall, I strongly recommend a stay here! "
"It is an older hotel, but very comfortable. Room was spacious. Staff friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was very good. Easy walk to a variety of restaurants and a well stocked liquor store for anyone shopping for malt whisky. Good value. "
"We stayed for 2 nights on a bed and breakfast basis. We stayed in the town house across from the main hotel. The room was large and comfortable. I think it had just been updated. The bathroom was small but servicable. The bed was large and comfortable. The breakfast had a huge selection and was cooked to order and therefore fresh and plentiful. We had dinner in the restaurant on the second night and it was well presented and tasty. The staff were were professional , friendly and helpful."
"Well located for walking out to amenities. Comfy room. Wasn't aware no restaurant for dinner so last minute scrabble to find somewhere. Big breakfast with lots of choice. Not impressed with mist like shower (head full of beads to reduce flow)."
"The hotel was excellent with comfortable beds and great shower. Breakfast was superb and plentiful with an array of choices.
The restaurant served the most amazing Indian food that my wife and I have ever tasted.
Variety of wine was great but the Gin and whisky choices was out of this world.
Finally all the staff could not be more helpful and nothing was to much trouble.
We will be back."
"What's not to love about this wonderful place. From the moment we arrived we felt at home. The property is modern, clean, stylish and comfortable.
The views across the valley are just stunning. There's a garden terrace and pretty garden. There are two comfortable sitting rooms overlooking the valley. Our bedroom was well-appointed with the same magnificent view. The TV has a built-in DVD player and there was a large selection of DVDs in the lounge to choose from. There's an honesty bar, which we used once (£3.75 for a wine so very reasonably-priced).
There is parking at the property and we were able to walk into Pitlochry (around a 10 minute walk). There are plenty of places to eat in the evenings in Pitlochry.
And then we have the breakfast. Wowzers! Cooked with pride, using quality local produce and all delicious. I tried the porridge one day and was amazed when it arrived with cream, honey and a wee dram. It was the tastiest porridge ever.
Five stars, certainly but I'd have given it ten if I could."
"The whole experience from check in to departure was excellent. The room was exceptionally spacious with everything you could wish for.
The breakfast choices were superb and great service.
Located just a short walk into the centre of Pitlochry which it was very peaceful.
Have already recommended friends and family to stay here. We will certainly be back."
"Spacious room, private balcony, great service, beautiful food, warm swimming pool, multiple hot tubs, steam room and sauna. Sandemans cosy and luxurious, 1892 restaurant with stunning views of river, trees and hills beyond"
"Not our normal sort of place to stay but ideal for our circumstances. Lovely facilities and folk staying at the same time. Good self catering shared kitchen though only as we left did we tumble to the fact that Helen had provided some communal consumables in the kitchen - our loss."
"The room and bathroom (2 adults, 2 kids) were quite spacious and very clean. Water pressure was excellent. comfortable bed. Hands down, the thing we loved most were the two gentlemen staff/bar tenders in the main floor bar. I mentioned to the first one that I just wanted to see highland cows- he called up a friend and sent us down the street to a local farm for an up-close. The second one gave us many great tips and suggestions for our travels. We loved sitting in the spacious bar area each night and just meeting and chatting with friendly locals and travelers alike. That was exactly the experience we wanted. Only small complaint was a finicky toilet (took a few tries to get flushed but always worked). We would come back in a heartbeat. Hopefully they will have a full kitchen up and running soon (sounds like that’s in future plans)- that would be the one big plus since there is really only one other place in the town to eat. "
"We arrived at this beautiful, central, charming hotel and were treated like gold. The staff were all kind and welcoming. The food was excellent and our room was lovely. We will go back. "
