Vatican Armony Suites

When booking the hotel I was pleased as there was so many positive reviews. I should have paid more attention and saw that there are no recent reviews. A couple of days before arriving i received an emailing wanting to confirm our arrival time - which was after 22.00 - and I was told that there was a fee of 20 Euros for the late check in. I wasn't to pleased about this but I also didnt want to start my holiday in a negative way. I then emailed about help with a taxi and was told it would be a fixed price of 50 Euros. I got it for 40 by going direct and was told that actually I could have done it for 30! I still have the email from them telling me it was 50 Euros. So we arrived, and shown round. We were tired and just wanted to rest as we had a busy couple of days ahead to get the sights in. Left on the Friday and when we came back the room had been cleaned which was good however our Apple Charger (just the plug bit) had been swapped - we knew this as the one we were left with had a PAT testing sticker on it. NOT OURS. When we spoke to the woman she said she couldn't understand how it happened and her Father - who i assume owns the property advised us to go to the police.The room itself was just okay - no duvet cover (which i asked about and nothing happened), the shower was broken and the little balcony had piles of ash and cigarette ends which was blown over on the last day, we dont smoke and were there for 4 nights which it was never cleaned.
