Waterpark hotel which does not include waterpark

Waterpark hotel which does not include the waterpark or lifeguards or any employees. great place to go if you want to practice being a lifeguard since they are not there most of the time or on their cell phones when they are. Advertised as pool and waterpark included but was an additional $50 pp per day. Waterpark was closed whenever they felt like it and water was leaking from the ceilings. Food and drinks available from vending machine which I can only assume accepts Canadian dollars or some form of money from 1987. Terrible hotel, save yourself the trouble and just go to Great Wolf with actual employees.

Pictures are worth a thousand words! This is beyond disgusting. The nerve to ask a resort fee each day. My room was never cleaned I was there from Friday June 27th thru June 29th

Vaca time forgot

The water park side was fun but for 4 people it was $200 for 8 hours 1 day the hotel was completely falling apart none of the vending machines work none of the coffee machines work we got sheets for blankets and several people complained of not having blankets or pillows at all when they got their rooms the property outside was over grown and filthy it was a terrible stay

For a “smoke free” room it smelled awfully smokey, but overall cleanliness was good. Front desk was very friendly and good at clarifying that the park is a separate charge. My family had a blast. The cost of stay plus the water park did seem pricy but nothing too much to complain about.

Good place to stay in Dundee.

I don't like giving negative reviews but I hope it helps both to the resort's management and fellow travelers. It looks like they've had a hard time keeping up with the place. The grounds were overgrown and appeared unkept. In one of the rooms we booked the toilet tank was off and they hadn't made note not to book the room. Our room, the hairdryer was missing and I had to go get one. On a postive note, the beds were very comfortable. If you are using the water park it'd be a nice place to stay as the rates were very reasonable (book directly with the hotel though, the park fee isn't included when booked through a 3rd party). The bar was fantastic! We had a blast there so that was fun. All in all about a 3.

If you need to stay here, it’s an option.

It was fine. Dated hotel attached to a water park. A little expensive for the quality. They didn’t service our room for the two days we were there which seems like something pretty standard to do during a stay. Room was okay. Didn’t offer breakfast. Front desk staff was not friendly. Bar staff was excellent and the cook made me something vegetarian. That was great.

The check in process was so unorganized. It took over and hour to get checked in as there were 2 long lines. In addition, they never disclosed how much the waterpark tickets would be after advising that the tickets were not included with the room. Then the following day our room keys were deactivated before our check out was scheduled for the next day. The elevator was out of order, so it’s not kid friendly especially when you’re traveling with several bags and have to make multiple trips through a crowded lobby. In addition, the wristbands that I paid for was for my entire stay however, I was not advised that I have to go back to the front desk to get new wristbands for each day, so that was so inconvenient. $300 for 3 tickets for only 2 days, on top of the hotel cost is ridiculous for what they had to offer, which was subpar. I will never be returning, worst experience I’ve had since I’ve travelled over 20 years. They need new management and a tutorial on how to better serve the customers.

The only thing that I didn’t like was just how long it took for check-in, but there was a lot of people there so overall, it was a great experience. Oh, the one thing that really bothered me was the lockers in the waterpark

If you book your room with a third party like Expedia your waterpark passes are not included in that booking. It cost me $200 more for the waterpark passes for 4 people for one day. Was told check in was at 3 but then we didn’t get our room assignments until after 4. When we did get our room assignment the overall look of the room was good/clean but there was a smell that never left the room. While we were at the arcade part they shut all the lights off on us because they were closing but never once gave us warning they were doing so. The lazy river didn’t have any tubes and there was only a handful of tubes to be able to use the water slides and they were always taken up so my kids never got to ride those. The bathrooms in the waterpark were atrocious toilet paper soaking wet on the floors and overall very dirty. There was a part of my bed frame that was sticking out and I hit my ankles off of it a few times and when I went to the front desk the guy up there asked me if I tried to slide the bed over. I just beat cancer and it is not my job to move the bed on the bed frame to see if that “fixes” the issue. Throughout the check in experience I was not pleased I checking in at 3pm was told to come back at 4 pm for my room and the line was so long i stood in it for another hour before I was able to get my room. Overall I would not recommend this hotel/waterpark to anyone.

At Splash Universe in Dundee, Michigan, a customer expressed deep dissatisfaction with the overall experience, particularly regarding the steep $50 per person fee for the waterpark. They didnt indicate the water park passes are not included with the room purchase through Third-party companies. I called the day before to check the time of the pool closing and a rep said 10pm. We got there at 7:30pm, and the park closed at 9pm, and the hotel inside pool at 10pm. They charged us $100 - $50pp for 1 1/2 hours, and the wrist bands were only good until 12pm the next day. I would have waited to buy the day passes the next day. Its unfortunate, but worth a lesson to not learn again.

Sad experience here

Our stay was ridiculously disappointing we feel the hotel could do better with check in it took 90min to complete this which is sad you wasted that much time of ours. We feel its sad you need to ask for coffee to be made in the morning SAD. There was never toilet paper where it matters.

I am always accompanying my son when it comes to water parks in pools, but I did feel that staffing was slightly lax. Perhaps it was because it was the week before spring break and they needed to make the best with the staff they had which I can completely understand. The lifeguard I did encounter were amazing and everyone at the front desk was also very polite and professional. It’s quite possible it’s something they’re already addressing, but I would say hiring more pool. Staff would be just a safe option to prevent any incidents. As I said, I’m always by my son side so it’s not a concern for me per se but I could see how it could be an issue in the future. Also, the women’s locker room could use some help, especially in the changing area. Overall, it was definitely a very good value and like I said everyone was very kind and accommodating. I think as a mom you just have a certain standard, I would stay there again.

Ok, but could have been much better.

Poop in pool area at least 2 times. Staff was short. 2 different bathrooms had no toilet papper. The room could use some repairs and had a computer desk, but no chair. Also Waterpark closed at 6 on Sunday. Pretty lame
