Too hot to handle
The day we arrived it was 93 degrees F in Salzburg. Granted, unseasonably warm. We were so excited to see the city, but having NO air conditioning (which was a total rookie mistake on my part) was a big drawback. Regretfully, I didn't make the connection that A/C needed to be sought out as an amenity. Being on the fourth floor with little moving air made our stay difficult (thankfully we did have 2 fans provided by the hotel) . To cope, we only went back to to the room in the late evening when we hoped it would have cooled down. The balcony saved us. We kept our sliding door open all night, which wasn't the most secure plan, as the balconies are all connected, but it succeeded in helping to cool the room so we could sleep. The carpet was really old and dirty looking. The bathroom was clean, so no problem there. Breakfast was not included. I wouldn't stay here again.

Good location and Value.
It was not a fancy room, but it was clean, the breakfast was good, the staff were good and the price and location were very good, especially for Saltzburg during peak season and during Pentecost Festival. They do not have airc onditioning and it was hot during the day but in the mountains it cools off very nicely at night and they provided a fan.

My disappointments were my own fault - the website had reverted to USD, so I got a shock when I saw my credit card, and value wasn't quite as good as I thought. And there was no kettle or bar fridge (though when I read the info it doesn't state that there will be). The room was quite quiet, and there was a bath. There is no reception in the building, you have to go over the road for any questions.

It was amazing. The staff could not have been nicer. The location was a tunnel away from the old city and lits of attractions.

The road is very busy hence it is noisy in the room. light-sleepers, run away! I tried to buy coffee at the café, they refused to let me pay by card even though there is no ATM around the hotel. When I finally got cash, they charged me nearly 4 euros for a double espresso which did not taste good.
