When checking in, the reception area can be a little more welcoming, quite plain and dull. Initially booked and paid for comfort tent it when entering the room, the door lock was loose, cob webs hanging from couch, double bed and couch covered in dust, heater/ air conditioning not working, power initially was cut. When going to reception they sent around maintenance who did nothing but spoke Italian to us. We eventually raised our concerns was moved into a ensuite cabin for the stay. On the morning of checkout reception said to me that they were waiting for us to change rooms the morning before. I mentioned I wasn't aware that I had to and no message was given to us. They said it was our responsible to find out what is happening.
Apart from the above:
We were grateful for the upgrade at no charge. It is a good place to stay , it has easy access to Venice Mestre ;15 bus) and Santa Lucia (19 bus) and no5 bus back). The pizza's are good value for dinner especially with a free beer for 8.50, croissants in the morning with coffee and juice are great, get in quick as they go very quickly.. Expect a wait for your food but the food staff are friendly, and is worth waiting for.
