Barbadori Studio

The check in was easy with lots of info. The room was small but clean. The location was great right near the river. My only issue was the bed, it was too hard and I woke up sore every day. That made exploring the city difficult.

Good communication from property management representative who met us on arrival, she explained everything about the studio and local area and was reassuringly only a text away if we needed help. Great location for exploring florence and surrounding areas, it is second right after Ponte Vecchio and five minutes walk to the pitti palace and gardens which are well worth a visit. It took 25 minutes to walk to the train station from which we visited siena, rome, livorno, pisa and cinque pre booked by trenitalia app. Studio was basic but sufficient as we were out most of the time. The bed was very comfy, kitchen area served the purpose for a quick breakfast (although there wasnt any cereal bowls and made do with pans) and the bathroom was good with a lovely shower. The wifi always worked really well and even gave us a reception from the restaurant over the road and the air conditioning was very welcome. The studio was in a residential building but this did not cause any problems we have read previous reviews that comment on noisy residents we did not encounter this. The only negative was that we had to pay a 35 euro cleaning fee on arrival but studio was never cleaned of supplied with fresh towels.

The great advantage of this accommodation is the location near the tourist attractions. The black sandstone floor is a bit cold. Missing the rug near the bed from the picture. We appreciate the insulating glass that reduces external noise. Another problem is garbage disposal, which can not be done in dedicated spaces of the building, which does not exist and must be taken to the streets among the numerous tourists! For some people it is difficult to sleep with the air conditioning next to the bed due to the intermittent on-off stop. For cold weather there was also an efficient air-heating for fast heating, which we used otherwise. We appreciate the performance of the administration representative who was particularly helpful and gave us the most relevant information about Florence, plus the quick fix of some small problems. Exceptionally Wifi, good kitchen facilities!

This room was a nice little spot close to all the happenings. Bed was comfortable and I really enjoyed the kitchenette - particularly with a little fruit stand across the street. It is a busy area and the noise from streets as well as from some neighbours might distract for some light sleepers. Management was highly courteous, responsive and helpful with providing tips to local attractions and eateries. Highly recommend especially for those staying a longer than a few days.
