Fitger's Inn

The hotel has a beautiful interior and the staff are friendly. We were caught in a snowstorm and a day trip turned into a two day weekend. The rooms are smaller then other hotels and in some spots the wall paper was coming off. The views are beautiful and there are several unique shops and a large variety of restaurants is within walking distance. Our disappointment- being charged for toothbrushes and toothpaste, where these items are complimentary with most other hotels. The continental breakfast had no gluten free options. Valet parking was great and the staff very friendly.

Perfect location especially if you get a lakeside room. Even better is a room with a balcony because it allows one to breathe the lake air and not the air conditioning. Very solicitous staff, seem to be training some new people in. Did get my feather/down pillow on the third request attempt. Quiet well built building with rooms newly renovated about 2 years ago. Good breakfast restaurant again on the lake side- when a freighter was coming to Port we each got binoculars to view it. Nice touch.

This is a beautiful hotel in an old brewery. Within walking distance of shopping, restaurants, and sightseeing. Our room looked out over Lake Superior and we enjoyed the nostalgic brewery photographs in our room. Was a little pricey on the weekend, but was within walking distance of a concert we wanted to see on same street. Ate at one of the restaurants on property and the food and beer was very good. Would return, hopefully with a little less expensive stay!

The water pressure in the shower was very sloooooooow

I had never stayed at Fitger's before, but I will definitely be back... the best was super comfortable, I slept better that night than I had in weeks..
