2/10 Poor

The room was terrible. Beds are super uncomfortable, no temperature control. It is a rip off. I wish we drove home and back instead of wasting $500 on this hole.

Good experience at this property.
I had a good experience at this property. As long as you understand you are paying over 300 dollars a night for access to the mountain and the resort offerings, then its ok. The room itself was nothing special and at least it seemed clean. The shower was hot and the bed was comfortable. There was convenient ski storage just down the hall. Check in and check out was easy, and we were able to find parking in the hotel lot. The hotel walls were very thin and we could hear everything next door, so bring ear plugs if you want to sleep.

Pictures do not do it justice
The pictures of this property do not do it justice. We were put up in a hotel-style room in the Mountain Plaza of the Center Village. This room has been fully updated and the beds were surprisingly comfortable. Mountain Plaza put us in easy walking distance to major lifts, Starbucks and many different restaurants and bars. Use of the hot tub after our day of skiing was an added bonus. My only complaint is the same as every other complaint about this property...check-in. Instead of just leaving detailed directions on how/where to check in, the posting and reservation confirmation email gives an address and a phone number. However, once you are in Copper Mountain, addresses are difficult to discern and calling to find out where to check in led to a long hold time and some confusion on their part since we booked through an external site and not through the resort website. Simply adding in written directions on where the check-in building is or explaining that it is in the building with the aquatic center in confirmation emails would simplify check-in immensely, as there are signs everywhere in Copper Mountain directing you to its various amenities. The parking was another disappointment. We stayed one night, so we could ski two days. However, we were told that the parking included in our room stay would expire at 2pm on our checkout day, which meant we would need to move the car, so we ended up paying for two days of parking anyway.

Awesome staff!
Everything from the staff to the room was outstanding. Probably the friendliest staff I have ever encountered and this was even on thanksgiving day! Would most definitely stay again!

Was close to skiing and food. Walking distance. A bit stuffy feeling nothing special but for the price, it was perfect.

Overall a very nice place. Definitely dated decor wise and walls were pretty thin, could hear neighbors on both sides. No balcony was a bummer. Great location and couldn't have picked a better time to go for end of ski season festivities. I will say however, that Copper Mountain did a terrible job keeping restaurants open and having enough staff on hand. All kitchens closed at 8:00pm

We loved being right in the Copper Village ski area near all of the activities. We were a bit disappointed that there was no heat in the room. They came and checked it out and said it was working, it just takes time for it to heat up. They did give us a portable space heater, which worked fine. The heat never did work the two day we were there.. They never did have anyone else look at it while we were there.

Loved the location of the property. Didn't like that on the confirmation from expedia it said we had to go back to frisco to check in which would have been VERY inconvenient if I didn't get a hold of the property themselves.

Not a very pleasant stay
We stayed in the "hotel" style room at mountain plaza. First off, understanding where exactly to park was an epic nightmare. Check in was easy and the location was nice, once we actually figured out how to get into the building. Plenty of shops and restaurants are close by including the tavern which was attached to the building, and the hot tub was nice and hot. Here's the bad though, the beds were rock hard and every little bit of movement made the beds squeak and shake, the fire alarm in the room had a light that flashed brightly the whole night, the walls are literally paper thin and we could hear every word from our neighbors and people in the hallway at all hours, the room was insanely hot even with both windows open and it being 45 degrees out, and the shower design was questionable and wasn't pleasant to use. In all honesty it wasn't worth the price and it didn't feel much of a step up from a La Quinta.

Great times!
Amazing time at Copper mountain CO. The service was top notch and check in was easy. Great system that works well, we arrived early so we completed the check in as normal and they text you when the room was ready so you don't need to wait around. The room was clean and we were comfortable ( means a lot to us) We would go back in a heart beat. For the Hiking, hot tub, music, food, ALL great.

Very convenient location
Lodge is right in Center Village and within walking distance of all restaurants and the lifts. Our room was small, with just the king bed, but we didn't plan on hanging out in it. Unfortunately there was no mini fridge for our leftovers. Had a small issue with the shower and getting all the water to come out of the shower head and not the tub. Lots of jiggling of the tub faucet. Water pressure also changed with the temperature of the water. Not ideal, but ok for just a 1 night stay. Wouldn't have been fun if we'd been staying a week on vacay or something like that. If you're looking for a place to walk to the lifts and enjoy Center Village, this is a good option.

This is a decent place but don't expect modern standards, this is a ski lodge that is starting to show it's age. Given that there is no room cooling if the daytime temperatures are higher then usual, and the nights don't cool down enough, expect your room to be hot in the summer months

Sleepless in Copper
Good location, however like any place in Copper, it was loud. Because the village is sandwiched between I-70 and the mountain, there really isn't a quiet spot. From traffic noise (think semi's descending down Vail pass) to slope maintenance (think snow cats running at 2am) to village nightlife (think bar right below your hotel window)to shuttle buses running all night, don't count on a good night sleep. Also, I felt this particular unit wasn't priced accordingly. I spent less per night, slope side in Aspen and Breckenridge than I did at Copper.

No more than a dated hotel.
I do not know if I should complain about Mountain Plaza or Hotels.com. The resort itself was ok and the location was very good. However, when I booked the room with Hotels.com the description said the room had a fridge and a microwave. I also called Mountain Plaza directly before my visit to confirm that there was indeed a fridge and microwave in the room. It was confirmed. Upon check in, a very late night check in, I found that this was no more than a standard hotel room without any appliances. Since we took the shuttle from Denver and did not have a car, it was hard to get back to the check in place to complain about the lack of appliances. Therefore we were forced to eat out every meal in a very expensive resort.

Quick trip to the mountains for the weekend, good home base. Did not realize we would not have a kitchen. Bathroom very tight for space. It felt much more like a motel room than a condo.

Ok room in great location
Central location was the primary benefit. It is an old building but the rooms were maintained relatively well. It seems to be reasonably priced for what you get, a 2 star hotel.
