Hotel Filderhof

Just one night stopover. But it looked newly refurbished. Fresh and clean and nice big rooms.

There is parking but it is scarce and checking in with no staff is a bit confusing. The front door is unlocked so you just need to push but then when you put your code in the door outside your room you need to spin the key around until you get it unlocked. It took me multiple (a lot) tries before I could get into my room. The room overall was nice though. The whole hotel is not accessible (not an issue for me but just letting you know in case it pertains to you). Breakfast is traditional German, but free, so it was a nice addition.

The room was comfortable. The bed was nice, and the shower and bathroom was spacious and clean. The room had no complimentary hygiene products, which is fine but would've made the room nicer. My biggest complaint is the breakfast. It cost an extra 10 euro per person for breakfast, and the breakfast was very small. We could've stocked the entire breakfast course ourselves, with 20 euro. The cereal at breakfast was stale. The yogurt was placed in reusable plastic ice cubes which were warm by 8AM. Worst of all the orange juice container wasn't replaced or cleaned between our two nights. The second morning a large chunks of black mold came out of the spout and into my cup. This is not just unhygienic but also dangerous. The only proteins on the breakfast were eggs and prosciutto. Nothing else fresh, besides some whole oranges that were a day or two away from rotting

I had a very pleasant stay at the Hotel Filderhof during my recent visit to the Stuttgart Area. The room was clean, bed comfortable, and the desk staff was very helpful. My checked luggage did not make to my connecting flight from Frankfurt to Stuttgart, and the desk clerk on duty when I was checking in worked with the airline to ensure the bag was delivered to the hotel for my visit.

I liked the fact that the check in was entirely self since I had a very late night flight. The self Service fascinated me and was something different.

Very nice hotel two minutes walk from town centre. Clean safe good location I would not hesitate to go again if I was ever in the area

Nice clean place close to the airport. Technically, you can walk to the airport in 30 min. Check-in can be done via the computer in front of the entrance if you arrive late.

This hotel is OK, and only that. I stayed during a very busy period in the area so felt that it was very poor value for money - maybe in a different week with a more realistic price it would not seem so bad but €200 for one night is very very overpriced.

A comfortable nights stay with friendly and helpful staff.

Nice, clean and quiet hotel located in the middle of town. Convenient to local restaurants. The bed and linens were very comfortable. The towels are rather small and not very thick...would be good to get better towels. I would expect more toiletries to be included such as shampoo.
