I particularly liked the hostel's character and the location. The proximity to public transportation, while located on a relatively quiet street with plenty of charming places to enjoy a coffee or a branch within 1-2' walk distance. Breakfast was also great, with plethora of protein, carbs and vitamin-loaded options. And maybe I was lucky, but in these 3 days and nights I stayed there, every single staff and guest i saw in room, lobby and breakfast area were all looking and acting in a social and very sharp style.

Nice and easy check-in. Even easier check out. Right near the U8 line and multiple tram lines to get around town. The only downfall of room 201 was the first bunks seen when opening the door; the top bunk has a bad mattress (springs are too worn) and the USB charging ports don’t function.

Booked a quiet, comfortable and spacious single room for four nights. The shared bathroom was clean and never busy. The staff were friendly and very helpful, especially with questions about getting around Berlin. There wasn’t a guest kitchen but there was a free breakfast buffet from 8am until 1pm daily.

Good place for making friends
I stayed for 3 nights with a friend. The stay was good and the hotel is located near many restaurants and next to a train station that makes it easy to go places The best part about it is the bar in the basement which makes it convenient to grab a drink and meet other fellow travelers. I made some new friends there. They bar has their own beer which was pretty tasty to be such a small brewery.

Nice and clean, poor management.
The hostel is nice and clean, and with a great location. The 3 stars is due to the poor service we got, when we had to switch apartment because there was no heat in any of the radiators (we spend the first night fully clothed and with 2 duvets). Long story short: we agreed to move to another hotel, first a double room that were simply to small, and at last (due to 1 nice receptionist), an apartment which was not initially suggested since it was more expensive. The space and at least a fridge was important to us because we have a small baby and spend all evenings in. But the fight continued - we had to pay for breakfast again, because it was more expensive at the new hotel (same owner). We tried to meet them half way and asked them for a breakfastplate so they could reconcile the food and the money, but that was not an option either. Somehow, their mistake (an apartment without heat) became our job to fix. We lost an afternoon waiting for them to either refund the pricedifference from apartment to a room or find us an apartment. I've worked in the hotel business myself: if there is something unacceptable about the room (heat is quite essential in the middle of october), you switch the customer to an equivalent room or a nicer room if an equivalent is not available. The price difference is your problem, not the customer. You promised an apartment and breakfast, and we payed for it and expecet to get just that. I have never felt so unwelcome in such nice surroundings.
