Hotel Benaco a Sirmione

My girlfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights. It is a mid-sized family run hotel. The members of staff were always very helpful and passionate about their jobs. They would always go out of their way to accomodate everything we needed. Nothing was too much to ask for. The room we stayed in had a very comfortable twin bed, TV, wardrobe with a safe and a very clean bathroom. Housekeeping were done everyday and was very thorough. The free breakfast buffet that we had consisted of multiple homemade pastries that were all delicious, pancakes, scrambled eggs and bacon, toast, sandwich meats and cheese. yogurts and fruit. There was always something for everyone. On our last night we decided to try their dinner aswell. We had a lovely pasta as a first course and a perfectly cooked steak as second course. To top it all off, we got served a massive dessert buffet with all delicious home made cakes and various desserts. I would definitely recommmend the meal. Thanks to the very friendly staff at hotel Benaco, our stay by Lake Garda became the highlight of our trip to Italy. If I return to Lake Garda, this is where I would stay.

Fantastic hotel for a couple, our room was a bit small but that is to be expected in Italy. Great little bathroom with AC in-room and a nice big window. While our room did not have much of a view it was a great way to have a lot of natural light into the space. Bed was comfy and room was very clean. The breakfast in the morning is free and awesome, the older gentleman was extremely helpful and warm and made us feel at home. It's right next to the first stop for the bus to go into town and is only a short walk (one block maybe) from the bus to go back to Desenzano Train station.

Lovely area with hotel almost on lake and it has its own free parking lot. Small and friendly
