I checked into was unfortunately a quite dirty room. I have taken photos and attached most of the ones I took. More than happy if it’s a dirty towel to ask for a new one but this was the pillows, duvet, shower, microwave, cutlery, lipstick on glasses and I think what appeared to be mold in the corners of the bathroom, I did use the toilet once, with the small amount of toilet paper that was left on the roll and turned the shower on and off again but did not use any of the facilities. No staff were available to raise concerns with so I checked into a new motel.
When contacted the next morning to explain situation and request a refund, I was countered with an offer to change rooms (subject to availability and no guarantee that the next room would be any cleaner) and a breakfast. I explained that the shift to a cleaner, more suitable accommodation was already done, but they still refused.
They also explained that due to staff sickness, and the age of the facilities, that it was not unsurprising that the room was not as clean as it should be. However, the state of mould in the room indicates the room has not been properly cleaned in a long time.
Save your money and health - find somewhere else.
