It was a quick business trip and all ok.
Excellent hotel. Comfortable and friendly. Convenient location.
Great hotel room was nice size and clean bathroom was big as well shower good even had sky channels on tv witch you don’t get in many hotels breakfast was good you could have whatever you wanted would definitely stay again
A lovely hotel overall with impressive original features including original stain glass windows and an impressive staircase/lobby, all decorated with Christmas trees and such. Comfortable room, helpful staff, fine for a short stay. However better sound proofing needed in rooms; heard every word people said in corridor and next door's telly kept me up the first night of my stay, but the next night was OK as I think I had a new neighbour by then, although I even heard someone sneeze like they were next to me. Best go on a weekday and hope you get a quiet neighbour. Ask for a room away from the stairs unless you want good wifi, which I did get perfectly despite reviews online, as I think my room was above the main reception and so I was near the wifi box. Area was a 10 minute short walk from town amenities but also by a gated hospital entrance, a main road and roundabout, but my room was at the back of the hotel over looking the bear garden so was off the main road and did not hear that much noise. The hotel is the cheapest in the area if you go via sites like trivago.com (how I booked). Area reflects price of hotel and I was only there for two nights, so was not too fussed about it. There is also a handy Shell garage/shop by the hotel. Overall, if possible ask for a room away from the main road. This hotel is good if you have a car and on a solo short trip but do bear in mind that the wifi signal quality will be hit-or-miss depending on what room you have. I would stay again.
