Superb!
I have just stayed at the Queensgate Hotel on a business trip. The staff were superb from check in to leaving. The hotel was very clean. I was using a function room for the purpose of my travel. The staff set the room up after asking my requirements and were very accommodating to any needs of the delegates attending the training. Housekeeping staff were very friendly and polite as were the front of house staff and anyone that worked at the property including the Manager. Nothing was too much trouble and I was always greeted with a smile. I am booked to return next week and am looking forward to my return. Many thanks to everyone at the Queensgate Hotel.

You could be very unlucky...
I have been here 3x previously, and I got to be honest, the rooms and service was okay. This time, it was just poor all round. The room smelled like cigarette, the shower was always on boiling hot, there was no remote for the tv and to top it all of, I paid for breakfast at £9 (expensive), but there was only 2 pieces of bacon. I asked for a refund on the breakfast but they even challenged me on that and did not do it. For £9 i wasn't going to fight it, but next time I will take my money elsewhere. Shame - as I thought that would be my convenient good place for me.

Quick trip.
A short weekend return from move to Turkey so something cheap but fairly central was needed, this place fitted. Good value though had a converted to use feel.

The hotel itself is fine. The staff are very accommodating and friendly and helpful. The Room was a little tatty bathroom had mortar missing from the floor tiles flaking paint around the bath. The heater adjustment was very very stiff on the shower. but overall not too bad.

It feels rough - a bit hostelly - might be being u fair - it’s perfect adequate - but you get what you pay for - on the second night they’d lost my booking and my key card wasn’t working. Plus you get a letter when you check in on the desk saying they’re not cleaning it if you’re there for less than 4 nights. Radiator doesn’t come on till the middle of the night. You get one tea bag. Little things - you’ll be fine - but book it with your eyes open.

Oldschool no frills hotel. Had the basics and was all we needed for a weekend away. Lacks the modern touch that other hotels have but that is reflected in the price. Very good value for money. Parking on site is a plus. The reception guy was very welcoming and efficient. And the hotels in a good location for a short walk to the centre and theatre. Would definitely recommend for a budget stay.

We stayed here about a month ago and ended up being told that the hotel doesn’t deal with refunds for the inadequate quality of our stay there, and to email a specific email. Didn’t even get a reply to the email sent. Which was thorough and explained our full situation. We were accompanied by two disabled elderly companions and the rooms were; dirty, uncomfortable, stuffy, hot, and rusted in the bathroom. To the point where we left after the first night. We only asked for a partial refund but got no reply we were basically told it wasn’t their problem and the only way to even make a complaint was through this email, not even a reply. Our own room me and my partner, was also dirty, towels didn’t smell properly washed, bed had a massive dip to which my partner didn’t sleep. Tried to have a bath and there was no plug, dust scattered all over the place. Only saving grace was the barman on the night shift who let us drown our sorrows having to stay in the dingy state. Apart from the the place is a joke as a business in the centre of Peterborough, and I accommodating to the disabled tenants who stayed there. We didn’t even get to attend the event we came down for as my grandad was sent sick from the stay in their room and was subsequently sick for at least a week after. Absolutely no excuse for this and the business obviously needs an owner who gives a damn about it, as I’m sure a vacuum and a dust pan isn’t too much to pay for. Thank you.

If you want a luxury top class B & B, this isn't it. However, it was OK, it suited our needs .... somewhere reasonable to sleep, a decent breakfast and at quite a low cost.. In fact the only real complaint i personally had, was that i couldn't operates the TV... Google thos that and other!!!
