Worn out hotel. The heat didn't work in the room, the people at the front desk acted like there was no way i booked a room on line and wanted to charge me like 15 dollars more until i pulled all the stuff up on my phone

Ridiculous Stay

Room was not finished! It was under construction that was not complete!! The room never got warm!! We were COLD! Would have liked a shower the next morning, but room was too cold! Curtain over window had worn spots in it that you could see thru! Never again!😒😒😒

While no absolute horror stories like I read in the reviews, which I should have read before booking, the room was barely warmer than outside when we arrived because the heat was off. Once we turned the heat on it wouldn’t maintain the temperature but fluctuate between way cold and way hot. The mattress was surprisingly not bad but the room itself looks like it hasn’t been updated aside from shoddy patchwork on the walls in 40 years. The bathroom was an ice box with a drafty window and now heat, and while I can dig the olive green tiles above the pink tub, I’m not into walking into a motel bathroom and finding the last occupant’s hair all over the sink and shower We didn’t go to breakfast, the whole area of which was 4’ of counter with two bar stools so it couldn’t be much- because we left before breakfast. Granted when I checked the clock it was 3 minutes before breakfast was supposed to start and the lobby was still locked up, and nobody came when I pushed the doorbell they had for this purpose, so I had to jam my key card in the front door and hope for the best.

I called ahead of time to let them know that I would not be arriving until 1:15 AM. They said "No problem". It was freezing cold outside and the air (a window size heat / ac combination unit that was mounted on the wall close to the ceiling) was turned off in my room, so it was freezing cold inside as well. It took nearly an hour to warm up the room. I didn't really care that the bathroom tiles were dated, I only care that the bathroom is clean and functioning properly. Unfortunately, it was not. The toilet had unflushed poop and toilet paper in it and several pubic hairs on the rim. I wiped them off and flushed the toilet only to learn that it was nearly completely clogged. There was no plunger. The bath had a pubic hair on it and there was a hair on the sheets. The pillows were hard flat foam type. I was so tired that I did not want the hassle of trying a different room, so I just went to sleep and left without using the shower. The breakfast had hot instant scrambled eggs, sausage links, packaged honey buns, cereal, milk, yogurt cups, and bananas, so it was passable, but my key got deactivated and I had trouble communicating that to the front desk clerk, so he followed me back to the room to let me back in. I didn't try to communicate the other issues because I'm pretty sure he was deaf. It's a shame that the room was cold and dirty because the motel does have potential and I could see that they were remodeling. I would not stay again.

Better than recent stay at Wyndham

We stayed at an American by Wyndham recently the breakfast area here was more than 200% less space and the breakfast offerings were 100% better here , friendly staff ,accommodating, a far better experience than Wyndham. Even though they have construction going on.

simple place for short stay

I stayed in a room with a single queen bed. It was simple and the bed was comfortable. No "frills", very basic. Quiet, reasonably clean. But the owners also have home-cooked Indian food carry-out business and that was a big plus! Ate dinner at the breakfast bar. Kept leftovers in room's refrigerator. Breakfast had a lot of options for a small motel!

Third stay getting better with each trip

It’s a nice family owned motel that they are fixing up to make it wonderful my room was updated. The food was great for breakfast. This was my third time here. Most of the complaints come from people who want to compare it to the Ritz but can only afford the extremely low price then again they’re not happy with anything.

Nice stay for reasonable price

No frills stay, as expected so not a problem. Breakfast was smaller than competing big chains, but still had many choices of pastries and hot, fresh breakfast food, i. e. Eggs and sausage. Remodeling in process.

Nice room with breakfast too.

Our 2nd stay in 6 months. They have been working so hard to update and it shows. They also sell Indian food to go. The outside looking nice you see and feel the improvements. They’ve added a hot breakfast too. Better than the big hotels that most have cut back, around the country. Eggs, sausage, cereal, juices, bars, yogurt and fruit. You can’t find that for this and double rate. There are still things to improve but this family owned and run is doing a great job.
