Very pet friendly
Was very pleasant. It is pet friendly and staff very friendly and helpful. Continental breakfast was great with hot eggs and sausage, lot of varieties from bagels to english muffins to oatmeal.

A great pick for a great weekend in the city!
The service was incredible! The staff were so nice and helpful, especially since we've never been to Chicago before. They answered any and all questions we had about getting around the city. The shuttle to the Orange line train was a nice bonus. The complimentary breakfast was also better than we'd anticipated. The only problem we had was the beds: while not uncomfortable, they were quite stiff, and we woke up with some aches and pains. But it was otherwise a fantastic stay!

Nice and clean stay close to Midway Airport.
People at the hotel is super friendly, the location is fine, close to a lot of dinning options (mostly Latin for the location, so I love it ;-) ). The room is fine, with just the mattresses being too soft. They have a good breakfast as well.

Staff make this hotel exceptional
The hotel itself is not fancy, but it served us well for less than 24 hours in Chicago. We’ve been to Chicago two times prior and had stayed in ‘The Loop’ area of town. That’s great for walkability, but killer when you need to drop big bucks to valet your vehicle. The Carlton Inn has free parking, free breakfast and WiFi. The hotel is also close to the orange line of the “L” trains in Chicago. The hotel has a free shuttle that will take you over and drop you off right at the train station and pick you back up. When we checked in the front desk gave us handouts and maps on how to navigate the public transit. When we checked out, they let us leave our truck in the parking lot till later in the day when we were done visiting the museum. They even came back to pick us up at the train station when we were no longer official guests! Super friendly staff, very informative and helpful. They actually seemed concerned about guests having a good experience while staying there.
