Met the host upon arrival who was really helpful through and through. The breakfast bar was okay, they replenished every morning. Location is excellent; close to local amenities and overlooking st peter’s Basilica. Lovely space and very clean.

Good: Great location, near entrance to vatican, near san pietro station. Easy to catch a bus or Uber or walk (30 mins) to city center. Relatively cheap. Very friendly hosts, some of whom speak good English. Closet to hang clothes, and balcony with decent view. Wifi worked great. Simple italian TV channels for the evening. They tidy your room every day, but be clear if you want a new towel :) Bad: No front desk, apartment-style building. you must call and arrange a time to check in, a bit awkward. Bathroom (shared) is tiny, I needed to sit sideways on the toilet, and the shower is too small for me to reach my feet. I'm taller than the average Italian but this is notably crowded. No soap / shampoo, bring your own. Bed is a simple cot-style. Comfy enough but not luxury. Breakfast is quite simple, toast and jam, and pre-packaged pastries, with one espresso per person. I bought some fruit and protein from a nearby supermarket.
