B&B Giovy Rome

Posizione ultrastrategica e ottimo il rapporto qualità-prezzo. Se si cerca un punto d'appoggio per un soggiorno breve lo consiglio senz'altro

Il B&B Giovy è composto da 2 piani in un grande condominio, con altri hotel su altri piani. Si trova a 2 minuti a piedi dalla stazione ferroviaria di Roma Termini e circondato da caffè, ristoranti, fast food, negozi, bancarelle di souvenir, ecc., tra vita e necessità. Farouk è arrivato subito e ci ha fatto entrare subito, mostrandoci direttamente la nostra stanza. È un ragazzo molto cordiale e disponibile e ci ha fornito una mappa locale, indicando tutti i luoghi di interesse, chiedendoci se volevamo acquistare i biglietti per i tour in autobus aperti. La nostra camera consisteva in un letto singolo con bagno privato (ottima doccia! ) aria condizionata, piccolo frigorifero, tv e balcone di Giulietta. Era pulito, piacevole e confortevole. È stata fornita una cassaforte con chiave, c'erano articoli da toeletta, asciugamani e pantofole gratuite e WiFi anche. La colazione comprendeva fette di pane bianco e integrale (tostato), formaggi kraft, frutta, croissant, burro, marmellate, yogurt, uova sode e tanto tè e caffè, acqua o succo. La piccola sala per la colazione era accogliente e Farouk era lì per fornire tutto ciò di cui si aveva bisogno, per dare consigli o semplicemente chiacchierare amichevolmente. Ha gentilmente tenuto le valigie al sicuro l'ultimo giorno dopo il check-out, così abbiamo potuto continuare il giro turistico senza dover portare appresso i bagagli. L'unica lamentela era per il piccolo ascensore che non era affidabile (solo 4 rampe di scale ma dopo aver camminato per ore sembravano Ben Nevis! ). A parte questo, lo consiglio vivamente!!

The room looked a bit dated and quite basic and much smaller than any shown in the photos although clean. Also the safe was locked and the proprietor could not open it. However, the bed was comfortable (memory foam) and the hotel suited our needs, reasonable value and it was conveniently located close to the station. The breakfast was a continental breakfast which suited us fine. The room was one of four that I think were a converted apartment within a 6 story apartment block built in 1864 off a courtyard with a little pool and trees, so it had a bit of character. The proprietor was very helpful and explained the best busses to get to the more distant sights like the Vatican (no. 40) which worked out fine.

Great place to locate myself for 5 nights. Could have caught the train from airport to B & B as it was about a 10 minute flat walk from station. Close to shops, restaurants, station, Hop On Hop Off bus (station) metro, supermarket. About 5 mins to second biggest church in Rome and 20 mins to Colosseum. Had a kettle and fridge - bring your own tea etc. Bed not the most comfortable. Air Con big plus! Breakfast nothing fancy but enough.

The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. The location is central and in a nice neighbourhood. The room is a bit dated, and the shower was very hard to use. The breakfast was very basic. For the price, this hotel is a good value.
