Palazzo Marziale

Senza dubbio l'opzione migliore a Sorrento. Mia moglie ed io abbiamo soggiornato qui per la terza tappa della nostra luna di miele e il posto ha superato di gran lunga TUTTE le nostre aspettative! Paola e il suo staff sono incredibili, le camere erano molto confortevoli e l'edificio era ricco di storia. Voto 6 su 5 se fosse possibile. Ci torneremo sicuramente, se riusciamo ;)

Excellent friendly staff, great welcome at reception, beautifully decorated and equipped bathroom, authentic antique furniture and artwork, comfy bed, slippers and robe etc....however a few things brought the rating down for us. We upgraded to a room with view which had a partial sea view between buildings and looked out at front of hotel. This caused it to be one of the noisiest hotels we've ever stayed in both inside and out. Windows are single glazed and hotel is directly on a busy street at a double corner. As street is quite narrow large vehicles sound their horn to warn oncoming vehicles. This starts about 5am! The walls between rooms are very thick and virtually soundproof but the plumbing let's its down. If another room flushes the toilet it sounds like it's in your room. Breakfast was quite good, tasty and varied for 'continental style'.... however it was very poorly replenished. The hot selection which had 3 assorted choices had more than one section empty on 2 out of 3 mornings we were there and we were down at 9am each day (breakfast 7.30 to 1030) they were not filled up again during the half hour we sat and ate. Quite a few people arrived later than us too. Nearly all guests were English speaking but although the TV had over 100 channels..... only one "Paris 24" a news channel was in English. Even the channels we recognised were dubbed into Italian. The tea/coffee tray had no milk so forced to drink without. Little things maybe to some people but not 5 star.

Amazing, Sorrento is beautiful and Palazzo Marziale a perfect place to explore from.

e loved our stay in Palazzo Marziale. The hotel looks like an old palace with grandiose common spaces, a beautiful terrace, great breakfast and a free happy hour for guests every day. The hotel is in a great location, right across the street from a Park with cliff views and in old town Sorrento, so you are close to everything. They have valet parking, which is an absolute plus if you rent a car. The room was small, with no view, but super clean and comfortable.

Maria in particular was very accommodating but all staff were friendly. Central location and huge bath tub were also great.
