I choose this hotel for his location and the interesting rates, comparing to other hotels in the same area. It is the ideal location to visit Amsterdam. The Hotel is recently renovated, looks very nice, wifi everywhere, friendly staff, decent breakfast (included in the price) for a 2 stars hotel . Lovely lounge with tea and coffee for free all day long. We loved to sit with a cup of tea on the lounge balcony to relax at the end of the day! Many lovely restaurants just a short walk away, in the most enchanting locations along the canals and old streets. We got a room with balcony overlooking the main road which was quite noisy but - as my travelling partner smokes - we were pleased with the balcony and we declined the offer to move to a quiter room overlooking the back yard. Our room, closet and bathroom were very tiny, no place for luggage. Comfy beds and pillows. Be aware of the very steep staircases (typical in old Dutch buildings) as they could be an issue for people with physical problems. There is no elevator. I m used to stay at more luxory hotels offering more comfort but this 2 stars hotel in the centre of Amsterdam is a very good and cheaper alternative.
