Hotel Rheinischer Hof

Very decent place. Our room was very quiet and comfortable. Some of the furniture is a bit dated and needs upgrading. The location is also convenient. Just a few minutes into downtown Garmisch. The personnel at the front desk could be a bit more friendly.

This is the first time I have ever left a negative review for a hotel on this website.I booked a trip for my family at Rheinischer Hof and was, frankly disappointed in the hotel and the manner it was described on this website. I booked a stay in the Windrose Building, which I paid more for than a standard room, and instead was book in the main building. The elevator was not working so I had to haul my baby in a bassinet up several flights of stairs [had I know the elevator was not working I would not have booked at this hotel]. Finally, the room was disgusting. The refridgerator has never been cleaned and it smells like someone has been using it as a meat locker. Not kidding - I put a bottle of baby formula in there for several hours and had to throw it away when it smelled like month old salami.

* staff is kind of mix of good and bad. Overall was on helping and supporting side. Specailly when you have 2 kids to handle. * Room very nice and clean. * They even give free bus passes for travel locally. * Food was also good.

Our room was very spacious and had a "cottage" feel to it. The room and bathroom were very modern and clean, as well as very spacious. The beds were very comfortable with nice bedding. The only down side for our room would be if you can't walk up stairs - we were in a building across the street from the main hotel and there was no elevator. The main hotel does have an elevator, and for us it was not a problem. The staff at the front desk, as well as the restaurant were very friendly and helpful. The room was cleaned daily and was always fresh and clean. We will definitely stay here again when we are in Garmisch-Partenkirchen!

The breakfast included was great. The restaurant served an excellent Bavarian homemade pasta dish with an excellent variety of beer and wine. The hotel staff was friendly and even offer ski lift tickets so you can skip the line at the resort.

This is a very nice hotel. Very clean facilities and an incredibly helpful staff. Great free breakfast. Highly recommend this hotel.

Our room was amazing, the hotel staff put us in a room with a walk out patio with a yard for our dogs. Price was great. We will be back.

Cute building, all clean, warm and nice. Lots of free parking available

Big rooms. Bathroom while big is time for an update. While overall pleasant, I have some difficulty to agree with the prominent branding of 4-star by the hotel though.
