I recently stayed at the Sonesta Essential Houston Westchase from November 7th to 10th, 2023, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory.
Upon check-in, I was assigned to room 323, which immediately presented a series of issues. The room had no hot water, damaged flooring that led to a minor injury, and a non-functional television. After notifying the front desk, I was eventually moved to room 311 the following day.
While the second room was an improvement, it still fell short of expectations. The water temperature remained consistently low, and the room was not adequately cleaned, with items left behind by previous guests. Additionally, a detached fire alarm posed a significant safety hazard.
The guest services staff was generally kind, but the physical condition of the rooms and the lack of timely resolution to the issues were unacceptable. I would strongly advise potential guests to consider other accommodations in the area.
I requested that the property manager reach out to me directly to discuss potential compensation for the inconveniences and discomfort experienced during my stay. Unfortunately, after contacting Sonesta directly, I was informed that no discount or partial refund would be provided.
