Great staff and location
Great staff - they were incredibly helpful, friendly and welcoming! As others have said the hotel is a bit old and outdated, the room is pretty basic, and a bit dark, and the mattress was too soft for me, but some might like it. But despite that, the room was still fine, and clean and spacious. Overall the hotel and the room felt mostly like a place to sleep, not a place to hang out. That was fine for my purposes. The location is the best part - steps from Trafalgar Square, an area I love, very lively, with musicians performing, National Gallery is right there; only 5-10 minutes walking to Big Ben. A lot of restaurants in the immediate area (including Little Italy). It's very walkable to Covent Gardens and Soho, and there are several tube stations within a 5 minute walk. I would stay there again for the location. All in all a good stay!
