Having just returned from Fiji I felt like I should write a review from my stay over Easter at pelican waters.
The resort is ok and has potential but misses the mark on a lot of things.
The golf course is under going for construction, like mega construction, the whole thing is being dug up and redone until September reception told us which we weren’t aware of until we checked in.
We were firstly given a room on the cnr over looking the earth movers. Since we were traveling with our 3 month old we asked for another room away from the noise, not to mention it was an eye sore and we were there for 5 days.
I must commend the lady on reception who was very helpful , she said she was new but managed to somehow get us a room overlooking the pool and water ways. This was much appreciated.
Unfortunately the service ended there, when we were loading the suitcases into the lifts, 2 hotel staff members talking to themselves but swearing like sailors and complaining about something.
Then one of them actually served us later that day in the restaurant, we were surprised to see he was restaurant staff. We asked what the fish of the day was, and then when we asked what vegetables it came with he did not know and had to go and ask the chef. We then had to ask for share plates, salt and pepper and cutlery. The whole thing just felt amateur.
The pool side furniture is hideous, that plastic white and blue stuff. Not something you expect to see at a resort.
