Wunderkammer, is the home of Angela, an Artisan. The name, of German origin, means the room of wonders, just like the space that we will offer to our guests.
The apartment, a building of 1930 of 75 m 2 ., is located in the heart of the old town of Catania, precisely in the Castello Ursino area, known as the most prestigious zone of the city, where several craftsmen and artists owned their stores. Just a few steps away there is Piazza Duomo, inside the “Piscaria”, the ancient and famous fish market. In fact, you just have to go down to the street to discover the most important historical sites of the city and to find the places where you can spend your evenings at your best.
The Space
In the Wunderkammer you will find unique and authentic furniture, from ancient Sicilian style to the expression of artists from all over the world.
Indeed, inside you can also admire unique antique pieces recycled in a contemporary way, in total respect of the environment, a very important issue for us. The apartment will be equipped with all comforts, to welcome our guests in a dimension where art and relaxation meet, leaving the guest an experience unique in its kind. The house consists of two bedrooms: one room with a canopy double bed and a small room with a bunk bed. In addition, there is also a sofa bed located in the living room, which can be converted into a single bed. This arrangement is suitable for groups of friends of five people, since the area of the living room is a passageway between the corridor, the kitchen and the bathroom.
The ́apartment, therefore, can accommodate up to five people. The rooms are furnished in a unique style, each has a special feature that characterizes it, starting with the name. The balcony (with a veranda with sliding windows) overlooks an internal courtyard. Here there is a chill-out area where you can enjoy your stay tasting a good coffee, relaxing in the sun.
Theorem Room
This chamber has a very special style, is a double room with canopy bed made of recycled wood. The furniture that dominates this room goes from the ancient Sicilian up to unique pieces made by various contemporary craftsmen.
Love and Anarchy Room
This beautiful room is equipped with a bunk bed in solid wood and a closet where you can store your clothes. On the right side of the room there is a window connected to the living room that makes the room very bright. The furnishings and the equipment are treated in detail with the aim of telling, through the little works of art purchased from artists around Europe, the experience of the places we have visited. It is very important for us, because before being hosts, we have been guests. In the apartment you will find yourself immersed in the magnificent and ancient vaulted roofs, typical of Sicilian noble houses, all
framed by a beautiful old original Sicilian floor that dominates in all the rooms. On the balcony you can admire the first floor with mosaic style in Sicily.
Access for guests
The apartment is located on the 2nd floor of the building. The accommodation is independent and in exclusive use of the guests. It is possible to rent the whole apartment. Please do not hesitate to contact us for any request or information.

You will find: shower gel, toilet paper, dish soap, salt, pepper and a bottle of water in the fridge. In the kitchen there is a coffee machine, a toaster, a kettle and other utensils. The air conditioning with heat pump, will ensure the ideal temperature in all seasons. Of course an internet connection with Wi-Fi will be provided.
