Was impressed with the gym amenities and friendliness of the staff. I noticed security removing non-guests on more than one occasion and it did make me question the overall security of the hotel.
Checked in around 7:00 PM and the hallway to my room had piles of dirty linen and cleaning rags. Came back after dinner and they were still there. Also, NOT AT ALL impressed with the $15 per day charge for internet access. Let's be serious: $15 a day, in this day and age when every coffee shop and fast food place has free WiFi?!?!
Check-in was fine as was our room. (Had to search for coffeemaker but that’s minor.) I understand that this kind/type of hotel is largely catering to folks on business (at conferences, for instance), but it boggles the mind that free WiFi is not available in rooms. That’s really annoying. (Yes, I realize one could have that if one were a member of this or that.) Larger point: we had to evacuate our room due to a fire / emergency alarm. That, of course, is not the fault of the hotel. However, it did expose what I consider to be relatively weak communication to those who actually responded to the alarm and directions to go outside. The hotel should be quite concerned about the very low number of people who responded to this, unless there were only about 75 at the hotel that night (unlikely). To my knowledge, no one from the hotel was outside the front door advising or giving direction/ info to folks who had rushed outside at 5:30 am. Better organization in such an instance is crucial.
Hotel was nice, clean, room was ready. Check in staff could've been more personable. We ate in the restaurant, and service was absent most of our meal. We didn't eat there again. Met our housekeeper--she was very nice, did a good job. Location was perfect for our needs. Signage to hotel parking and how to get back to motel would be great in the elevators for first time guests.
I was advertised a Jacuzzi tub at this location. There was none. Nice room though. The Hotels add showed a Jacuzzi room, It was not. Parking was expensive too.
