Ottimo soggiorno a Siviglia
Ottimo hotel, elegante, sfizioso, in centro a Siviglia. Accoglienza e personale super. Ti accolgono quando arrivi ti parcheggiano l'auto, la reception eccellente, tutti ma proprio tutti preparati e professionali. Pulizia eccellente. Camere dotate di tutti i confort. Colazione super. UN VERO 5 STELLE!!!!! RACCOMANDATISSIMO!

Gran Melia Colon - bad start, good finish
Started really badly. Our first room was located by a clock tower and the bell boomed in our ears every half hour. So they moved us. Room number 2 had a bathroom door which would not stay shut, dodgy electrics which flickered on and off and a bed that moved around. So they moved us again. The third room was OK. By this time we were fed up moving and asked for the manager. The representative they sent was not very good and could not offer anything without referring to her superiors. As we were only in Seville for the weekend we left to see the city. The next morning things changed. The manger approached us after breakfast, apologised for the bad rooms and service and offered to upgrade to a suite and lounge and when we declined because we were going to be out most of the time said she would arrange something later. That afternoon we received free dessert in the coffee bar and a free bottle of best bubbly and chocolates delivered to our room. They went out of their way to make up for the bad start. All the staff treated us really well, like their best friends. This is a lovely hotel in a great location for the main sites, the river and the shops and restaurants. We would stay their again. The poor start should have been dealt with in a much better way by this standard of hotel.

Other than breakfast, everything else was great
Breakfast could have been better . The eggs on the buffet was soaked with oil , the menus was limited as well . On the good side the service was more than amazing . The staff was helpful in every way . The rooms were great , clean and the bed was very comfortable.
