We had a room reserved for three nights. The first night went smoothly, but the next morning, I noticed movement out of the corner of my eye in the restroom. Upon closer inspection, I discovered a large cockroach climbing up the wall. When I grabbed my phone to document it, I returned to find it on the floor, crawling under the bathroom sink, after which I didn’t see it again.
I immediately contacted the front desk, and the staff member I spoke with was very apologetic. After consulting with her manager, they promptly moved us to a new room on another floor. Despite this resolution, I struggled to feel comfortable for the remainder of our stay, feeling uneasy about sleeping or using the restroom. As a result, we decided to leave around 9 p.m. on our final night.
I did not request any compensation or escalate the situation further because I understand that it is impossible to eliminate all pests entirely. I would also like to note that I have stayed at this hotel several times, and this is the first negative experience I've encountered.
