Astor Crowne Plaza New Orleans, an IHG Hotel

Called before I booked and was told that the pool was opened, it wasn’t we would of never paid this much for no pool. We definitely will not be back!

No refrigerator or thick covers. Had to buy a blanket from CVS.

Great staff, good location, everything close by, walk right out to bourbon Street, Clean rooms, hallways could use some attention. overall we had a great time as usual.

This hotel is beautiful! Practically on the corner of Bourbon and Canal, within walking distance of Harrah’s and the Riverfront. You can catch the streetcar right outside the front door to take you to plenty of different areas. On the same side as the hotel, a few blocks down and across from the casino is a luxury shopping mall plus many shops up and down Canal. The hotel does an excellent job of practicing social distancing and I love how I never had to wait for an elevator to get up to our room. There are hand sanitizing stations and masks are required upon entry. I would definitely stay here again! The room was clean, very spacious. Overall a very quiet stay despite the location! SN: the hotel is the diamond, Canal St is the rough.

It is a great location and the price was reasonable. The valet parking is hectic and once we were ready to go they put us on a shuttle to go to the parking garage. Which is not a bad idea but it may have been better to do that for both check in and check out. The elevator was out for a while and we had to take the stairs. Several people urinated in the elevator and it was still there in the morning, which smelled horribly. Then there was beer cans and food trash in the hallways. I’m guessing some guests have no manners but it really should have been cleaned.

If you have ever been to New Orleans before- ignore what some of these other reviews say. This hotel is at the corner of Canal and Bourbon. Anyone complaining about noise and homeless people has obviously never been to NOLA. The hotel location is GREAT!! Easy walk to everywhere you want to go. Is it loud at night? Yes. But we never heard our neighbors, all of the noise was from Canal and Bourbon (because drunk people, police/ambulance sirens, and losers using Canal as a drag strip). Bring earplugs. The rooms were great, very clean. One of the cleanest hotel bathrooms I have seen in awhile. The staff was very helpful. Valet was a mess, but again, expected with the hotel location. It will take a minute. Enjoy the time waiting with great people watching. The other reviews had me worried about this hotel but I was very pleasantly surprised!!!

Great location, however, I would not consider this a 4-star hotel, the rooms are outdated and they don't have some of the basic equipment like a coffe machine or mini fridge. The only option is $50/day valet but somehow you need to take a minivan to get your car when you're checking out which is very incovenient.

Desk and front door staff was very pleasant, room was clean but lacking a couple of things (bag for trash can, ice bucket and only had one small trash can), but the noise level ALL night every night from other rooms was terrible. Had to turn my tv volume way up to drown the screaming, music and pounding on doors around us. No security to be seen.

Terrible service !!! Begged tl get a tv remote... begged to get them to clean my room. No coffee in the lobby. No breakfast untill 11a. We need to leave for tbe airporg at 11am. Rude staff. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. Oh ..double check your bill.
