Lovely hotel - highly recommend
The hotel was lovely, the staff were really friendly and it was in a really good location, close to everything. Breakfast was nice. Highly recommend.

Worth a stay.
Lovely hotel, lovely staff. Room very good, clean with all amenities in full good working order. Bathroom clean, his/her sinks, magnify mirror & good quality towels. Would definitely stay again. Close to town about 10 min walk. Only 1 suggestion would be to have more choice of cereals at breakfast but there was plenty of other food to choose from.

Good food, service and location
As we ate in the restaurant on both nights I can certainly recommend the excellent food (the luxury bread and butter pudding was to die for). The service was also good even the night with a large party to attend to they ensured we were not forgotten. The location was also good ensuring we could quickly walk to all attractions after a very good hearty breakfast.

Watch out for weddings!!
The hotel is located on the edge of the city centre just a short walk from all the sights and was for all appearances just what we were after - decent sized rooms with good facilities, clean, good breakfast etc. However on Saturday there was a wedding in the hotel with a loud party afterwards and despite our room being two floors above the festivities we could hear (and identify) every song played at the party and the booming voice of the DJ whenever he spoke into the microphone. The wedding meant that all the staff were engaged helping out and that no-one was answering the phones. Eventually after over half an hour of trying we did manage to get through and order some room service. Later I called reception to complain about the noise but was told that "the DJ was booked until midnight", no apology or sympathy was forthcoming. This prevented us from getting any sleep until the wedding party was over and ruined our stay at what was otherwise a very nice hotel.
