Staff need more training in customer service
The hotel is nice we had a 3rd floor room overlooking the trees on the back side. But the staff training needs some work. As you walk in there are multiple aggressive signs saying be kind to the staff who showed up and behind the desk- we will do NOTHiNG for you without a credit card. Ok fine that’s not a problem.
We came in a little early for the kite festival and asked if we could park 11:30ish to 2 before we checked in. My husband came out and said they need your ID, so I went in and produced my ID and credit card.
The dark haired desk attendant almost barked at me: “I didn’t say I needed a credit card!” Ummm ok, sorry. There are like five signs behind you saying so. Oops on me and no need to yell. She gave us a parking pass. Is it the customer’s who are not being kind??? Or is it you?!
Then we came back to check in and the blond older lady checked us in and was very nice and we hauled our bags up 3 flights only to find out that for about 6 parties she hadn’t checked us in on the computer so none of our keys worked.
They need some training on customer service. No guest was being rude but the staff esp the dark haired person were very surly.
The room was nice and bed was comfortable. A little expensive at $300 plus a $25 dog fee. The breakfast was decent, waffles eggs and sausage. For a hot weekend it was nice to have shaded parking. I would stay again if they can work on the customer service.
