Great Property poor staff focus - Customer Service
Great property for an open island stay
Excellent location with options for sports activities and restaurants very close to the hotel
The hotel has its private beach, well maintained & great view from the hotel
Customer service needs a complete revisit. Due to the dominant position of Kaani Palm hotel, staff only focused on add-on sales but not focused on customer service.
Poor communication skills lead to staff becoming too argumentative and over-explaining why requests or services can not be provided rather than helping customers.
Issues faced:
- When we booked almost 3 month+ early, we requested all 3 rooms to be next to each other. No acknowledgment at the time of check-in and the staff explained too long why the request is a request and should not have expected it to be honored rather than look for it.
- Poor check-in experience since it took almost half an hour for the front desk to check in as they fumbled over each other to check in.
- The TV did not work for 3 days (in our 3 rooms booked) and none of the staff solved it after continuous complaints each day. (Probably this is because each connection cost money and staff was not interested to hence solve it)
- Specific office staff (Kadir) assigned for our 3 rooms- once he got the tip after dropping our first day. Only checked once for booking excursions but any issue was reported he just ignored
We used iCom company (close to resort) for transportation and water excursions (much cheaper & excellent)
