Occidental Bilbao

Bel hotel in posizione strategica la metropolitana é 5 minuti a piedi e dopo un fermata sei in centro nella città vecchia é un 4 stelle a tutti gli effetti e le merita tutte. I letti sono comidissimi la stanza spaziosa e pulita. Certo è un po caro ma voglio precisare che io sono andato nel periodo della semana grande (alta stagione) che é una bellissima festa 🎆 che c'è a Bilbao nel mese di agosto. Questo hotel é consigliatissimo.

Troppo lontano dal centro storico. Camera rumorosa, poco luminosa, non insonorizzata. Senza vista, sulla strada al primo piano. Piscina praticamente sulla strada molto trafficata, prato artificiale. Poche informazioni dal personale. Mi aspettavo di più di una camera superiore in un albergo a 4 stelle.

Excellent hotel but there is a fee to use gym and spa

A very good hotel, up the hill from the historic city. It's easy enough to walk down (15mins or so), but we used the metro or bus to get back. Watch out for the parking charge.

As others have said, the bed is comfy and the room is a good size. However for a 4 star hotel, most things were extra. You get a safe free of charge, and pool towels. But you have to pay if you want to use the pool after check out, for the gym and indoor pool and breakfast. Also there isn't the availability of a room or shower area to freshen up before your flight. The pool area is nice, and you get a lot of space. But the hotel is a decent walk from town. Going there it's fine, down hill, but walking back on a hot day is quite unpleasant, and we're pretty fit people. It has a bar that isn't expensive really, and there are some shops a short walk away for breakfast or other items. Hotel is fine if you want a pool, but if you dont I would definitely stay closer to town. Some staff were lovely and really helpful, but some were really miserable. I probably would choose somewhere closer to the centre next time.
