Best Western Springfield West Inn

The service is very good. But it is too noisy. Not fit for family with babies. There is a main street near the hotel.

The room had a broken AC and was leaking water on the floor. It was also really loud. One of the lights didn't work. We were given the room right behind the front desk #108 so we heard everything all night long. It was also an easy access room, but the door was difficult to get open and closed.

It was just ok. Too many not so nice things. Not terrible, but shouldn't have been. The room just wasn't as clean as it should have been. Initially our room was on the 1st floor by the back door to the parking lot. Which wasn't locked nor did it require a key card to enter. The front desk said it should always be locked. It wasnt. Appeared to be broken. I was not comfortable sleeping at the end of a long corridor when anyone had access to that entry door. She moved me to the 2nd floor. The bedding on my bed wasn't clean. There were strands of hair and dirt spots on the outside cover of my bed. There was also a small piece of a wrapper of something on the bed and floor. Didn't look like the rug was vacuumed. The entry door had a piece of paper stuck in the peep hole (how does the maid miss that?). And the bedside lamp had something spilled on the base of it and the drops that were left were gooey. These were small things. But just shouldn't have been. I took the outside bedding off and just slept with the sheet. Bed was comfortable.

Was good till the checkout was disaster

The room was not as clean as I would have liked. At first glance it was clean overall there were little things that came to our attention during out stay. The carpet was not vacuumed everyday and needed to be professionally cleaned. The curtains didn't close correctly and were dirty. We needed to use a hair clip to keep the curtains closed at night. The curtains were a problem since our room was on the ground floor by the parking lot. The shower curtain in the bath was yellow at the bottom from hard water, soapscrum, etc. There was quite a bit of noise in the morning since the breakfast room was directly across from our room. The desk clerks were very pleasant and helpful. The employee woking in the breakfast was cheerful and did a nice job of keeping the food area stocked, neat and clean along with the tables. Overall, our stay was ok.
