Marriott Orlando Downtown

Everything was good. Check in was easy, food was good, check out was easy.

We went rest like babies, it was a very food stay and the staff made it even better

$55.00 for 2-day valet is insane !! My car sat outside at the valet entrance the entire 2 days. I might be able to accept that price if my car had been in a covered garage. Furthermore, the car was never truly valeted... they simply handed me my keys and we walked to the car. Service at Shade Bar was also a big disappointment. We felt like unwanted house guests, as if asking for something to stir our morning coffee with was unexpected. Our server clearly didn't want to be there. The room was clean but nothing special. Sadly there are not many options in this part of Orlando so I can't say I'd never stay there again but I'll know what to expect...

Everybody at this hotel from the check-in desk to the restaurant to the bar was extremely nice. We loved the comfy beds and the overall cleanliness of the hotel. The only negative thing was the noise from the railroad track in the morning and the construction noise from the nearby I-4. If you can get a quiet room on the other side if the hotel then it’s a great place to stay that I can highly recommend!

Check-in was okay, per hotels.com valet is optional but when you get to the hotel you don’t have a choice other than valet. Get in the room and the air conditioning barely works. Speak with customer service and they send a repair man. Repair man found a clog. Come back from being out all day and a/c doesn’t work again. Speak again with front desk and they say a/c is movement activated. Went to a concert and come back to have a decent dinner and kitchen is closed at the hotel restaurant but still has the bar open. Get back to the room and it is super hot. Let front desk know and they offer at midnight to move us. We declined as it was so late. Spoke with front desk when checking out next morning and all they could offer was to comp valet as we paid through hotels.com.
